Toki is now a Zapier Gold Solution Partner
Toki is now a Zapier Gold Solution Partner, one of a few in the UK. Here is what it means for your automation build and how to pick a partner.

A badge landed in my inbox last week. Dark background, that orange Zapier underscore, and two words I’d been working towards for a while: Gold Partner.
So here it is, no burying the lede: Toki is now a Zapier Gold Solution Partner. We were Silver. Now we’re Gold — one of a small group in the UK to hold it.
A Solution Partner is a consultancy Zapier vets and backs to build automation for other businesses. Gold is the tier above Silver. And a badge on my website does precisely nothing for your business unless it changes the actual work, so the rest of this post is about that: what the tier means, what it changes, and what to look for if you’re weighing up a Zapier automation build of your own.
What is a Zapier Solution Partner, in plain English?
Zapier is the tool that connects your apps so they talk to each other without you copying and pasting between them. A new lead fills in a form, and a task appears in ClickUp, a row lands in a sheet, and someone gets a Slack ping — all without a human touching it. That chain is called a Zap.
A Solution Partner is a consultancy Zapier has checked out and certified to design those chains for clients. It’s not a sticker you buy. You earn it by actually building things that work, keeping client accounts healthy, and not leaving a trail of broken automations behind you. Zapier looks at your track record before they let you wear the badge.
There are two tiers that matter here. Silver is the entry point. Gold sits above it, and you reach it on the strength of the work: volume of live automation under management, the health of the accounts you run, and client outcomes that hold up over time. Toki crossed that line this month.
Silver to Gold — what actually changed
Honest answer first: the badge itself is the smallest part. Nobody hires a consultant because of a logo colour. What changed is what sits behind it.
Getting to Gold meant Toki now runs a serious amount of live automation across client accounts — lead routing, billing handoffs, onboarding flows, reporting pipelines — and those builds have stayed up. That’s the bit Zapier measures. Not how clever the Zaps are. Whether they still run six months later without someone babysitting them.
Practically, Gold gives Toki a tighter line to Zapier itself: earlier sight of new features, a direct route when something platform-level breaks, and managed access to client accounts so I can go in and fix a Zap rather than talking a client through it over a shaky screen share. For you, that’s the difference between “I’ll raise a ticket” and “it’s already sorted.”
What Gold means if you’re hiring a Zapier consultant in the UK
The UK Zapier consultant market is thin and a bit wild-west. Plenty of people list “automation” on a services page having built three Zaps for themselves. Nothing wrong with that as a starting point, but it’s not the same as handing someone the plumbing your business runs on.
A Zapier Gold Solution Partner is one of the few signals you can actually check. It tells you three things before you’ve even had a call:
The work is real. You don’t reach Gold on a portfolio of toy projects. There’s real volume behind it, running in real businesses.
The builds last. Zapier weighs account health, which is a polite way of saying “do this person’s automations keep working.” A flashy Zap that falls over the first time an app changes its API is worthless. Durability is the whole point.
There’s a safety net. A partner with managed account access and a direct line to Zapier can catch and fix problems you’d otherwise only find out about when a lead went cold or an invoice never sent.
If you’re comparing people for a build, the badge isn’t the finish line of your decision. It’s a filter that saves you a few bad calls.
How to pick the right Zapier partner for your build
Badge or no badge, here’s how I’d choose if I were on your side of the table. Five steps, no fluff.
1. Check the partner tier. Look for Silver or Gold Solution Partner status on their site, and take Gold as the stronger signal. It’s the one thing on this list you can verify in thirty seconds.
2. Ask what they’ve built that’s still running. Anyone can show you a demo. Ask for something they built a year ago that’s still live and untouched. The answer tells you whether they build for the launch or for the long run.
3. Ask who owns the automation afterwards. A good partner builds in your Zapier account, documents what they did, and hands you the keys. If the Zaps live in their account and you can’t see them, that’s a leash, not a service.
4. Push on what happens when it breaks. Apps change. Zaps break. The question isn’t whether it’ll happen — it’s whether you’ll hear about it from them, or from an angry customer. Ask how they monitor live automations.
5. Make them explain it without jargon. If a partner can’t describe what they’re going to build in words you’d use yourself, they either don’t understand it or don’t want you to. Clarity is a feature.
The honest bit
I’m pleased about Gold. I’d be lying if I said otherwise. But the thing I’m actually proud of isn’t the tier — it’s the reason Zapier handed it over. It’s because the stuff I’ve built for clients has quietly kept working while they got on with their actual jobs. Lead routing that never dropped a lead. Billing handoffs nobody had to check. Onboarding that just happened.
That’s the only metric that’s ever mattered to me. The badge is just Zapier agreeing. If you want the same — automation you can forget about because it simply runs — that’s the whole job.
A few questions I get asked
What’s the difference between a Zapier Silver and Gold Solution Partner? Both are vetted by Zapier. Gold is the higher tier, reached on the strength of live automation under management, account health, and client results over time. Silver is the entry level; Gold is where the track record has to back it up.
Does being a Gold partner cost me more? No. The tier is about the quality and durability of the work, not a premium you pay. If anything, a partner who builds things that last saves you money, because you’re not paying someone else to rebuild it next year.
Do I need Zapier if I already use ClickUp? Often, yes — they do different jobs. ClickUp is where the work lives. Zapier is what moves information in and out of it from your other tools. The two together are where most of the time-saving actually comes from.
Can you work on my existing Zaps, or only new builds? Both. A lot of the work is going into a messy, half-working account, finding what’s quietly broken, and getting it solid again — not starting from scratch.
Do you only work with UK businesses? Toki is UK-based, in Norwich, but automation doesn’t care about borders. Most of the work is UK, some isn’t.
