What Is a Zapier Silver Solutions Partner? (And Why It Matters)
Hiring a Zapier consultant? Learn what the Zapier Silver Solutions Partner badge actually means, what it takes to earn it, and why it matters for your business.

The credential nobody explains
If you've been looking for a Zapier consultant, you've probably seen people describing themselves as "Zapier experts" or "Zapier specialists" on their websites, LinkedIn profiles, and Fiverr listings.
Most of these are self-assigned titles. There's no barrier to calling yourself a Zapier expert. Anyone with a Zapier account and a functioning internet connection can do it.
The Zapier Silver Solutions Partner badge is different. It's not self-assigned. It's awarded by Zapier, based on demonstrated client work, and it's the clearest signal available when you're evaluating whether a consultant actually knows what they're doing.

What is the Zapier Solutions Partner Programme?
Zapier runs a formal partner programme for consultants and agencies who help businesses automate their workflows. In January 2025, Zapier relaunched this as the Zapier Solution Partner Program — upgrading it from the previous Certified Expert model to a tiered system with clearer requirements and more rigorous assessment.
The tiers are:
- Certified Expert — entry-level certification, based on passing Zapier's training
- Silver Solutions Partner — demonstrated track record of client builds and outcomes
- Gold Solutions Partner — higher volume of verified client work, more advanced builds
- Platinum Solutions Partner — top tier, high-volume professional services operations
Silver is the first tier that requires Zapier to verify your actual client work — not just your exam scores. That's the threshold that separates people who know Zapier from people who use it professionally.
What it takes to earn Silver
The programme is structured around:
- A proven history of building automation solutions for clients — not just for yourself
- Demonstrated quality of builds — reliability, error handling, documentation
- Client outcomes — businesses getting measurable value from the work
- Ongoing platform usage and engagement with Zapier's ecosystem
You cannot buy the Silver badge. You cannot get it by completing a course. It requires real client work, reviewed by Zapier.
What it means when you're hiring
When you're evaluating a Zapier consultant, the Solutions Partner badge answers one of the hardest questions in the hiring process: has anyone who knows Zapier properly verified that this person knows what they're doing?
Without it, you're relying on self-reported testimonials, portfolio screenshots, and your own ability to assess technical quality in a tool you haven't used professionally.
With it, you know:
- They have built real automations for real clients — not just personal projects
- Zapier has reviewed the quality of that work
- They are actively engaged with the platform at a professional level
- They have access to Zapier's partner resources, priority support, and early feature access
What it doesn't guarantee
The Silver badge is a necessary signal, not a sufficient one. It confirms a minimum standard of proven platform expertise. It doesn't automatically mean they're a good communicator, they understand your specific industry, they'll document their work, or their pricing is appropriate.
A discovery call is still essential. The badge is the filter that gets you to the right discovery calls.
The Zapier Wizards Guild — the other credential worth knowing
Alongside the Solutions Partner Programme, Zapier runs the Wizards Guild — a community of the most active and expert Zapier builders. Membership is invitation-based and reflects sustained high-level engagement with the platform. If a consultant holds both credentials, they're operating at the highest level of the Zapier ecosystem.
How to verify the badge
Don't take a consultant's word for it. Zapier publishes its directory of verified Solutions Partners at zapier.com/experts. Search by location, tier, and specialism. If someone claims to be a Silver Solutions Partner but doesn't appear in the directory, ask them to explain why.
Toki's credentials
Jack at Toki holds Zapier Silver Solutions Partner status and is a member of the Zapier Wizards Guild. He is also a ClickUp Verified Consultant — one of a small number of practitioners in the UK who holds verified credentials in both the ClickUp and Zapier ecosystems.
The reason this combination matters: most businesses I work with need ClickUp and Zapier to work together. Being credentialled in both means I can build the full stack — not just the connector, and not just the platform.
Frequently asked questions
How many Zapier Silver Solutions Partners are there in the UK?
Zapier does not publish exact numbers, but the Silver tier is relatively small — fewer than a few hundred worldwide, with a fraction based in the UK. It is a genuinely uncommon credential.
Is a Zapier Silver Solutions Partner better than a Zapier Certified Expert?
Yes. The Certified Expert is entry-level based on training completion. The Silver Solutions Partner requires demonstrated client work reviewed by Zapier — a higher and harder-to-earn credential.
Does a Zapier consultant need to be a Solutions Partner to be good?
Not necessarily, but it is the clearest external verification available. Without it, you are relying entirely on self-reported credentials with no independent confirmation of quality.
