a recruitment agency CRM, a candidate CRM or a staffing CRM
A recruitment CRM is software recruitment agencies use to manage relationships with candidates and client companies: contacts, notes, jobs, placements and follow ups, all in one place.
A recruitment CRM is a customer relationship manager built for recruitment agencies. It keeps track of the two groups an agency works with: candidates and the client companies who are hiring.
It usually holds contacts, notes, emails, jobs, shortlists and placements, so consultants can see the whole history before they pick up the phone.
Many recruitment tools combine a CRM with an applicant tracking system. The CRM side looks after relationships and sales, and the ATS side looks after moving candidates through each job.
Recruitment agencies lose loads of time on admin between systems. I connect the CRM to the rest of the business with Zapier, so new jobs, candidates and placements don't get typed in twice.
A common build is a Zap that creates the onboarding and invoicing tasks in ClickUp when a placement is marked as made. I keep the CRM as the single source of truth, so nobody wonders which system is right.
Paid plan: Filters and multi-step Zaps need one. 2 tasks per placement.
A CRM manages relationships with candidates and clients over time. An ATS manages applicants through a specific job. Many recruitment tools do both.
You can, but you'll have to build candidates, jobs and placements yourself. A recruitment CRM has them built in.
Many recruitment CRMs have a Zapier integration or an API. Check the specific triggers and actions available before you plan a build.
I set these up and train your team, in your own ClickUp or Zapier account.
